CGTN - The Healers and Hunters of Nyae Nyae (2023)

A film we did with StoryScope for CGTN's Faces of Africa series.

Since the 1970s, the San or Ju/’hoansi people have been displaced from their ancestral land in Namibia by imperial governments.

Now living under conservancies like the Nyae Nyae in north-eastern Namibia. It’s a race against time for the older tribesmen to pass down their traditional practices like hunting and healing to a younger generation which seem to be fading due to modern influences.

Will /Ui the master tracker & Kaegce the healer manage to teach their respective apprentices and ensure the survival of their cultural legacy?
